Most owners come to me with a hiring problem, a time problem, or a growth problem. Look underneath, and the same thing keeps showing up: the company has grown, but it hasn't grown beyond them. I help founders and leaders build companies that run, grow, and hold their value, with or without them.
If several of those sound familiar, you don't have seven separate problems. You have one. Too much of the business still runs through you.
You didn't build this to become the bottleneck.
Take the Two-Week Test
Every owner I meet says the same thing: "I can't find good people."
The best companies stopped looking and started building. They train people into the standard, pay for the growth they want, and give good people a reason to stay. Then the team rises. The service rises. The customer feels it before they can name it.
Elevate your team, and you elevate your business.
I grew up in my family's small business, Makeeff Photography. Before I knew the word entrepreneur, I knew what it meant to have your name on the door.
I've been building ever since, at every scale. I've done presidential advance, communications, and operations on White House, DHS, and HHS engagements, for administrations of both parties. Inside a Fortune 500 financial institution, I helped grow a $40 million division.
A global media and internet company first knew me as a contractor, on international launches and the World Internet Conference in Mexico City. They asked me to join for a while before I said yes. Inside, I was the liaison between the company's president and the presidents of its 12 divisions, and supported what was then the largest billing system in the world. My job was to take complex technology and make it simple for everyone else. I still do that today, with AI.
I've launched and built businesses across the U.S., Central and South America, Africa, and Europe, and helped small businesses across industries grow past their owners.
Then I built my own. A service company, grown to seven-plus figures on about $3,000 in paid ads. I was on the ground for the build and the scale. Just as we were set to expand into a new market, my health took me out of the one we'd built, and I ran it from more than a thousand miles away while fighting for my life. It had to run without me, and it did. It came through the pandemic stronger than it went in.
A company that runs without its founder is a company someone else can buy. So I sold it. The core team is still there.
Today I work inside service businesses: the skilled trades, law and professional services, medical practices, real estate, pet care, and any company that sells service. Most people overlook these companies. They're where real wealth gets built in this country.
I build the hiring pipelines, the memberships, the referral engines, and the AI systems that let a business run without its founder.
The discipline underneath all of it comes from advance work. Walk every room before anyone arrives. Plan for every way the day can go wrong. Build backups for the backups. Make it work in front of the world.
That's what I bring to your business.
I've been in the rooms, and behind them, helping make history. A one-night-only launch at Buenos Aires' famous Teatro Colón. A high-profile interview with Diane Sawyer that opened the evening news. Live moments with Presidents of both parties. And the days disaster hit, when decisions were being made in the air.

If one of these sounds like your company, that's the point.
New service areas, a workforce that couldn't grow fast enough, and customers who only heard from the company when something broke. The founder's systems were straining under the volume.
Internal · Operations and team
Routes sequenced by AI against live traffic. A hiring pipeline built on social, trade schools, and staged incentives that replaced roughly $14,400 a year in Indeed and ZipRecruiter spend, with better candidates, fed into a paid apprenticeship and trained in-house. Phones and online booking pressure-tested, so the system could carry the growth instead of cracking under it.
External · Customer and market
Automatic arrival windows so customers always knew who was coming and when. A referral engine that rewards customers with account credit. And the biggest shift: one-off crisis calls turned into annual maintenance memberships. The customer with a dead unit got a real person, a fast fix, and a relationship that kept them out of the next crisis, instead of a transaction that ended at the invoice.
Weak follow-through and a meter that seemed to run on every interaction. The most common complaint in professional services, and the one that quietly erodes the trust a firm is actually selling.
Internal · Operations and team
Trained the attorneys to set clear expectations for when a client would hear from them next, closing the follow-through gap that drives most professional-services complaints. Moved the firm to monthly billing that felt like a relationship, not a meter. Brought in the discipline of pressure-testing their work before it went out. And incorporated AI where it genuinely fit. The hard part isn't using it. It's knowing exactly where it can't go, while holding to the strictest standards of the profession.
External · Customer and market
Clients stopped feeling metered and started feeling cared for. Then the counterintuitive part: the firm raised its rates and grew its client base at the same time. Price sensitivity fell, referrals rose. Better service didn't just retain clients. It commanded a premium and brought more in.
Bring me inside to build with you, into your corner to pressure-test what you're building, or onto your stage. Every engagement is defined by the outcome, not a count of calls.
I step inside your business. We find what's capping growth, build the systems and the bench that let the company run without you, and turn revenue into value you can sell. Including AI, with a person in charge of every decision that matters.

You don't need me inside the company. You need another builder in the room when the decisions are yours to make. Every month, we pressure-test what's in front of you before it costs you. You do the building. I make sure it holds.
For the founder or executive who makes the calls and wants a builder in the room.
Keynotes, workshops, and fireside conversations for associations, founder and CEO groups, and leadership teams. Stories from rooms most people never see, turned into what your audience can use Monday morning.
For the organizer who needs the room to leave with something real.
Crews and techs in other people's homes every day. Practices where every patient still routes through one doctor. Firms where every client wants the partner. Agents and closings where every deal carries real money and a hard deadline. Any company that sells service. Different industries, same ceiling: the company depends on the person who built it.
HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, remodeling, and pools. Booked solid and still not getting ahead.
For trade owners →Private practices, dental, med spas, and specialty clinics. Where every patient, schedule, and decision still routes through the doctor.
For practice owners →Solo, small, and midsize firms bringing AI in. Done with judgment, with a lawyer in charge of every decision that matters.
For firm owners →Pet sitting, dog walking, daycare, boarding, grooming, and training. From someone who built and sold one.
For pet care owners →Brokerages, developer sales teams, and top-producer-led firms, where the best seller has quietly become the operations department too.
For real estate founders →The Owner's File. Seven free public searches to run before you hand any contractor a deposit.

Book a CallEngagements are scoped to the work, starting with a diagnostic.
Established, founder-led service companies with a real team, where the founder has become the bottleneck to the next stage of growth. That includes the skilled trades, pet care, law and professional services, medical practices, real estate brokerages and developer sales teams, and any company that sells service. I don't gate by revenue, because the same number means very different things in different industries. If your business has outgrown your own bandwidth and depends on you to function, we should talk.
Both. The same ceiling shows up inside larger companies. A department, a region, or a whole leadership team ends up routing through one person. Decisions wait. Good people wait for approval. The leader can't step away. I work with executives to build teams that run without them, usually one-on-one through In Your Corner, or with their leadership team through a workshop or retreat.
Wherever the business is. I've run operations and campaigns across five continents, and I work with companies remotely and on site depending on what the engagement needs. My base is South Florida. If the work calls for me in your building, we'll build that into the scope before we start.
Yes. Real estate has its own version of the founder's ceiling. The top producer wins the business, then ends up approving every email, every contract, and every closing detail too. Deal flow is lumpy: a tower delivers and a hundred closings land at once, then the resale and leasing wave follows. The back end has to be ready before the work arrives, not built while it does. I've worked inside the real estate side of a Fortune 500 financial institution, helping grow a $40 million division, and I've built and run high-volume service operations of my own. I build the operations, systems, and AI that let the producer keep producing.
Neither label fits exactly. As your advisor and operating partner, I step inside and build alongside you. In Your Corner means you build, and I'm with you every month making sure it holds. Many clients start in one and move to the other.
It's the closest familiar label, and some clients use it. The difference is how it's scoped. A fractional executive sells you a set number of hours a week for a set number of months. I scope the work around a specific outcome, in defined phases, and we measure progress against it. Sometimes that looks like a standing seat on your leadership team and sometimes it doesn't. The goal is a business that runs without me.
It starts with a diagnostic of where the business is actually stuck. From there we scope the work: anything from a focused build to an embedded operating-partner relationship. The shape is set by the outcome you need, not a fixed package. If we uncover more than the diagnostic showed, we decide together what comes next.
I build the AI agents, processes, and systems that genuinely belong in your operation, including in regulated and high-stakes environments like law and medicine, and I'm equally clear about where automation should never go. A person stays in charge of every decision that matters. Judgment first, technology second.
Yes. I've worked across five continents. Domestic and international engagements are welcome.
A written look at your business from the outside: what a customer sees on your website, in search, and in your listings before they ever call. It costs nothing. If it's useful, we can talk about what comes next. If not, it's still yours.
Then the call is the right place to find out. We'll look at where things stand honestly, and if the timing or fit isn't right, I'll tell you.
